10 mins prepServes 4
This Linguini with Shrimp in a Lemon Alfredo Sauce combines flavorful shrimp with a creamy, tangy sauce, enriched with lemon juice and Italian seasonings. Quick to make, it's perfect for a weeknight dinner that impresses.
1: Thaw shrimp by adding them to a colander and running cold water over them until no longer frozen (about 10 minutes).
2: Place shrimp between two paper towel sheets and press to absorb the extra water until they no longer soak the paper towel.
3: Remove the tails and place shrimp in the fridge with a paper towel under them until ready to use.
4: Make the linguini according to the directions, and reserve 1/2 cup of the pasta water.
5: Add butter to the pan and sauté shallot for 5 minutes.
6: Add garlic, red pepper flakes, salt, pepper, seasonings, lemon juice, and white wine. Let bubble for 3 minutes.
7: Add heavy cream and bring up to a bubble.
8: Add linguini to the pan along with shrimp and let cook together for 5-10 minutes until shrimp is warm.
9: Add cheese. If the sauce is too thick, use pasta water to thin it out.
10: Top with extra parmesan and fresh basil. Enjoy!
